Frederick County Executive Jan Gardner is soliciting letters of interest from individuals interested in filling an anticipated vacancy on the Frederick County Board of Education. The appointed individual will serve an unexpired term that ends in December of 2020.

According to a press release:

To be considered for the seat, individuals must be residents of and registered voters in Frederick County. Anyone interested in applying should submit a letter of interest and a resume to Administrative Officer Joyce Grossnickle, Office of the County Executive, Winchester Hall, 12 East Church Street, Frederick, Md. 21701, or by email to fcgboards@FrederickCountyMD.gov.

Applications should include current contact information, i.e., home mailing address, phone number(s) and an e-mail address. For further information, contact Mrs. Grossnickle at 301-600-1102. Letters of interest and resumes must be received by 4 p.m. on Wednesday, November 21.

All applications will be considered by the County Executive. Her nominee for appointment will be presented to the County Council for confirmation.
