How Baltimore City Parking Fine Amnesty Could Bump Revenues

The amnesty program is expected to bring the city between $3 million and $4 million.

Baltimore City Mayor, Catherine Pugh, installed an amnesty program for parking fine late fees.

Motorists eligible can pay their base fine on either Feb. 1 or Feb 2 without needing to pay the late fees.

The last amnesty program, in 2003, resulted in a third of motorist fines paid.

The Baltimore Sun reports Mayor Pugh said:

We estimate there is some half-million parking citations owned by 320,000 motorists eligible for this program.
