Drive To #MACoCon 2018 To Get Easier

In an effort to relieve Eastern Shore-bound traffic, the state plans to add a fourth eastbound lane over the Severn River Bridge, located near Annapolis on Route 50. The $22.8 million project begins construction on September 5 and is scheduled for completion by May 2018.

The Washington Post reports:

The extra lane will come from shifting the existing median barrier and re-striping the pavement to create four lanes in the eastbound direction and three for westbound traffic.

The Baltimore Sun features coverage on who attended, and who did not attend, yesterday’s announcement.
