Overdose deaths caused by prescription opioids continues to grow in Maryland. From January through June 2016, 210 prescription opioid deaths were recorded in Maryland – a 10-percent increase over the first six months of 2015, according to the Maryland Dept. of Health and Mental Hygiene.
