State Pensions Board Recommends 2017 Legislation

The Maryland State Pensions Board has completed its annual process of recommending legislation for introduction in the General Assembly.

At its last meeting, the Board approved two additional legislative requests in addition to those already approved.

According to process, the Board presents its legislative requests to the Joint Committee on Pensions which has discretion whether or not to introduce the legislation.

The Joint Pensions Committee will hold its decision meeting on recommended legislation on December 7 at 2 pm in the House Appropriations Committee hearing room in Annapolis.
