Last night, the Baltimore County Central Committee nominated Joe Cluster to the
House of Delegates to represent Maryland’s 8th Legislative District. Cluster will seek to replace his father, Del. John Cluster, whom Governor Hogan recently appointed to the Parole Commission. The Governor will make the final appointment for the open Delegate seat, based on the local central committee’s nomination.
Joe Cluster has served as Executive Director of the Maryland Republican Party since October 2013. He served as former Maryland Lt. Gov. Michael Steele’s Director of External Affairs from 2004-2007 and before that in Gov. Robert Ehrlich’s appointments office.
