Multiple sources indicate that Ingrid Turner, former Prince George’s County Council Member and MACo President in 2013, will soon file for the race in the 4th Congressional District.

From the Baltimore Sun:

Turner, 51, served in the council from the end of 2006 through 2014 and was its chair in 2011. The Bowie resident is also a past president of the Maryland Association of Counties.

Turner holds a law degree from Catholic University and an MBA from Golden Gate University. She retired from the Navy in 2006, having achieved the rank of commander. She was term-limited in 2014.

The Washington Post, describing the potentially crowded primary race:

Her announcement will come on the same day as the expected congressional campaign launch of Del. Joseline Peña-Melnyk (D-Prince George’s). Maryland Democrats say the contest will bring out a host of hopefuls from county and state government.
