Interested in keeping abreast of national hot topic legislative issues in 2015? The National Conference of State Legislatures (NCSL) has released their annual list of the top 10 policy issues that will be importance in legislatures across the country this year.

The list, which can be found in the State Legislatures Magazine, highlights a number of policy issues a few of which, including pretrial reform and health insurance markets, are current hot topics in Maryland. The magazine also includes a list of nine policy issues of importance on the federal level including transportation and infrastructure funding and Medicaid. The magazine gave honorable mentions to emerging policy issues such as regulating ridesharing and eliminating the use of plastic bags.
