Description: PlanMaryland is a statewide policy designed to foster smart and sustainable growth by directing state agencies on how to target their financial resources to communities and local governments. Local governments have been encouraged to propose “place” and “preservation/conservation” planning areas to be incorporated into the PlanMaryland map. Speakers will provide an update on the status of PlanMaryland implementation, including State agency strategies for incorporating their own policies into the Plan, the planning area designation process, and local government ramifications.
