In preparation for the opening of the healthcare marketplace on October 1, Anne Arundel County and several partners are participating in a campaign to educate Marylanders about the Affordable Care Act and the Maryland Health Benefit Exchange. From the Anne Arundel County Patch:
The campaign is designed to educate residents about health plan choices and offer assistance when the healthcare marketplace opens Oct. 1 for enrollment. The campaign will feature advertising, social media and partnerships with organizations such as the 2012 Super Bowl Champion Baltimore Ravens.
The Ravens were selected to be partners because of their strong appeal among residents without health insurance, according to a press release from the Maryland Health Connection. Other companies reported to be partnering with the Maryland Health Connection include grocery store chain Giant Food and CVS Pharmacy drug stores.
Earlier this summer, Maryland Health Connection launched social media accounts on Twitter, Facebook and YouTube.
