The county’s unemployment rate was 5.4 percent in April down from 6.1 percent in March. The rate has dropped each month since January when it was 6.7 percent. . . The number of employed Carroll County residents has been steadily increasing since January when it was reported to be 89,554. The April report stated 90,395 county residents are employed.
