As reported in the Baltimore Sun, Carroll County’s unemployment rate has dropped for the third straight month, according to information from the Maryland Department of Labor, Licensing and Regulation.  The article describes,

The county’s unemployment rate was 5.4 percent in April down from 6.1 percent in March. The rate has dropped each month since January when it was 6.7 percent. . . The number of employed Carroll County residents has been steadily increasing since January when it was reported to be 89,554. The April report stated 90,395 county residents are employed.
