Wicomico County Executive Rick Pollitt has released his proposed budget for FY 2014, including limited funding increases for education and other priorities. From coverage in the DailyTimes:
While the Board of Education did receive an increase in funding, Pollitt did not allocate $5.7 million more in funding over last year’s allocation, as the board requested.
“The education community has asked for more than we feel we can responsibly do right now,” Pollitt said. “But, I would hate to see any less of an effort made than what we’ve proposed.”
