The Department of Housing and Community Development (DHCD) has recently expanded the Home Owners Preserving Equity “HOPE” campaign to remind homeowners of the resources and programs available to help with foreclosure prevention.

There are thirty-nine non-profit foreclosure prevention counseling agencies across the state in the MD HOPE Counseling Network that are poised to help homeowners understand their realistic options – all at no cost to the homeowner.  In addition there are pro-bono and “low-bono” attorneys trained and available to address foreclosure.
