Governor O’Malley announced Friday, February 15 that John Henry Frank has been appointed as the Director of Emergency Management for Garrett County. Garrett County online published that the Governor notified Mr. Frank and County Administrator Monty Pagenhardt of this appointment earlier on Friday.

“I am very pleased with this appointment and I am confident John will provide the citizens, residents, and visitors to Garrett County with the leadership and professional guidance that is required for all requirements of emergency management and public safety. I am looking forward to the challenges ahead and working closely with John. He is a highly proficient public safety professional. ” said Monty Pagenhardt, County Administrator.

The commencement for Mr. Frank’s commission will take place at Board of County Commissioners Public Meeting on Tuesday, February 19 at 9:00 a.m.
