The Howard County Commission on Aging, in collaboration with the Department of Citizen Services’ and the County Council, are sponsoring an educational forum on the county’s increasing senior population. “Aging in Focus: Implications for Howard County” will take place on Tuesday November 13 from 7:30 pm to 9:30 pm in the George Howard Building.
Panelists for the free event include:
• Elinor Ginzler, Director of the Center for Supportive Services, Jewish Council on the Aging – “Livable Communities”
• Hank Greenberg, AARP Maryland Senior State Director – “Active Aging and Volunteerism”
• Michael Marcus, Program Director, Older Adults, Harry & Jeanette Weinberg Foundation – “Family Caregiving”
• Sandy Markwood, Chief Executive Officer, National Association of Area Agencies on Aging – “Trends in Aging (demographics) at the National & State Level”
