The Harford County Department of Inspections, Licenses, and Permits will be hosting a free course on the 2012 International Energy Conservation Code.  The class is scheduled for May 25 from 8 am – 4pm in the Harford County Council Chambers located in Bel Air.  Participants will be better able to understand and apply the critical concepts of the 2012 International Energy Conservation Code. These concepts provide a basis for the correct use of the code in the design, plan review, inspection and analysis of projects. It will provide a clear understanding and correct use of the requirements identified by these basic code provisions, tables and categorizations. Participants will apply the code in clear-cut situations and build their understanding of the intent of the code when asked to make code compliance decisions. This course may be of particular interest to county code or building inspectors.
