Since March 2010, St. Mary’s County residents have saved more than $89,000 on prescription drugs through the National Association of Counties (NACo) Prescription Drug Discount program. Launched in 2004 as a 17-county pilot program, NACo in partnership with CVS Caremark, introduced the NACo Prescription Drug Discount Card program. The program, offered exclusively to families residing in any participating NACo-member county, provides a discount on commonly prescribed medications for those that do not have prescription drug insurance.
