LGAC & Bay Alliance Release WIP Planning Case Studies

As previously reported on Conduit Street, the Local Government Advisory Committee to the Chesapeake Executive Council (LGAC) and the Alliance for the Chesapeake Bay jointly released a short report designed to assist local governments as they attempt to draft and implement their Phase II Watershed Implementation Plans (WIPs) under the Chesapeake Bay Total Maximum Daily Load (TMDL) requirements.

As a follow-up to the report, LGAC and the Alliance have released a set of case studies highlighting the WIP planning actions of six jurisdictions, including:  (1) Anne Arundel County, Maryland; (2) Havre de Grace, Maryland; (3) City of Lancaster, Pennsylvania; (4) Lycoming County, Pennsylvania;  (5) Washington, DC; and (6) Hampton Roads, Virginia.  LGAC and the Alliance hope that the information may prove useful to other local governments who are struggling with their WIP Implementation challenges.
