The theme of the conference is “Do It NOW!” in celebration of the life and legacy of the late William Donald Schaefer, former Governor of Maryland, Past President of MACo, and responsive government advocate.

The Conference will commence on Wednesday with a tribute dinner in honor of Governor Schaefer and end with a 2012 General Assembly Forecast featuring the Honorable Thomas V. Mike Miller, President of the Maryland Senate, and the Honorable Michael Busch, Speaker of the Maryland House of Delegates, the Honorable E.J. Pipkin, Maryland Senate Minority Leader, and Joe Bryce, Governor’s Chief Legislative Officer, who will discuss legislative priorities for the upcoming legislative session.

There are 16 educational sessions, 20 table-top displays, and several Association meetings and government briefings.
