Baltimore City to Benefit From Grant to Keep Cell Phones Out of Correctional Facilities

A $350,000 grant from the Federal Department of Justice will be used to increase efforts in Baltimore City to remove cell phones from correctional facilities.  As reported by Gazette.Net:

Baltimore maintains the Baltimore City Correctional Center; the Baltimore Pre-Release Unit; the Baltimore Pre-Release Unit for Women; the Maryland Reception, Diagnostic and Classification Center; and the Baltimore City Detention Center.

The grant will fund a part-time prosecutor in Baltimore city to focus on cell phones as well as two internal investigators and a support staff person to help tackle the problem.
