Save the Date: LGIT’s 24th Annual Meeting

The Local Government Insurance Trust (LGIT) will be hosting its 24th Annual Meeting on October 6 in Annapolis.   “Charting Your Course with Integrity” is the theme of the day-long workshop with sessions centering on ethics in business and the market place. Academy for Excellence in Local Governance courses will be offered on the Basics of Risk Management, the Public Information Act, and Citizen Participation in Local Government.  For more information please view the meeting agenda or follow the registration link.

LGIT is a non-profit association authorized by state law, wholly-owned and managed by its local government members. The Trust’s main purpose is to provide joint self-insurance programs or “pools” for towns, cities and counties in the State of Maryland. The concept is simple: rather than paying premiums to buy insurance from an insurance company, local governments contribute those premiums into a jointly-owned fund.
