The Maryland Emergency Management Agency (MEMA) is sponsoring a seminar titled MGT 340 – Crisis Leadership & Decision-Making for Elected Officials.
This seminar will use case studies of major incidents to examine the dynamics of crisis leadership and decision-making from a leader’s perspective. The session will include discussions of how elected officials can be involved in planning and oversight processes, as well as methods for situational awareness that are critical to the favorable resolution of any crisis.
The Maryland Municipal League (MML) will be hosting the first of these seminars on Saturday, October 8, 2011 at MML Headquarters, 1212 West Street, Annapolis from 10:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m.
Additional seminars will take place on October 22 at the Cecil County Emergency Operations Center and November 12 at Frederick Community College.
