The Office of Community Oriented Policing Services (COPS) will be accepting grant applications for the FY 2011 COPS Hiring Program (CHP) as well as Child Sexual Predator Program(CSPP), and Secure Our Schools(SOS).
The Office of Community Oriented Policing Services (COPS) will be accepting grant applications for the Fiscal Year (FY) 2011 COPS Hiring Program (CHP). Just over $200 million will be available for CHP in FY 2011 for the hiring and rehiring of additional career law enforcement officers.
COPS Child Sexual Predator Program (CSPP) 2011 grant program-approximately $9 million will be available under CSPP for law enforcement agencies to establish and/or enhance strategies to locate, arrest, and prosecute child sexual predators and exploiters, as well as enforce state sex offender registration laws.
COPS Secure Our Schools (SOS) 2011 grant program-approximately $13 million will be available under SOS to provide funding to law enforcement agencies to assist with the development of school safety resources and provide improved security at schools and on school grounds.
