Established in 1999, the National Association of Counties (NACo) in partnership with the Americans for the Arts created the Public Leadership in the Arts Award to recognize government officials or governing bodies that have demonstrated outstanding support for the arts and arts education. Nominations are now being accepted for County Leadership, Lieutenant Governor, and State Legislator.  The award recipient will be recognized at the respective summer meeting.  The deadline for all nominations is May 20, 2011.
