The Rural Maryland Council has partnered with the Maryland Department of Aging to bring the Senior Medicare Patrol program to six rural counties in Maryland. The program, which is administered by the Maryland Department of Aging through the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services and the Administration on Aging, focuses on teaching Medicare and Medicaid clients how to recognize and report health care fraud and abuse. The counties that were part of the program’s expansion were Garrett, Allegany, Washington, Calvert, Charles and Cecil. For more information, please click here.
