“Surviving the Recession” Educational Sessions Offered by Howard County

A three-part educational series on “Surviving the Recession” is being offered by the Howard County Housing Department.  The Department’s Director, Stacy L. Spann stated:

“Howard County is not immune to the effects of the economic downturn, as evidenced by the increase in foreclosures and the slowing of home sales.  Howard County Housing is doing all it can to provide County residents with the most up-to-date financial and housing market information and to offer opportunities for them to learn from the experts so they can make informed decisions for their family.”

Below are the dates the sessions will be held:

  • Saturday, September 18, Session 1:“The World of Credit – Changes in Financial Regulation”
  • Saturday, October 16, Session 2: “Foreclosure, Modifications & Short Sales – Entitlement, Facts & Options”
  • Saturday, November 13, Session 3: “Budgeting & Bankruptcy – Debt Management Plan vs. Debt Liquidation”
