Queen Anne’s County has announced a retirement incentive plan for County employees with a minimum of 30 years in the Maryland State Retirement System. The unanimously approved plan will offer the County’s 21 eligible employees the option of three years of county paid health insurance and the cash value of the greater of 50% of their annual salary or 50% of their accrued sick leave. In a statement released by the Board of County Commissioners the program, which is strictly voluntary, was introduced as part of the County’s ongoing effort to reorganize and restructure existing departments.
