Applications Being Accepted For Howard County’s MIHU Program

Applications are now being accepted for the July enrollment period for Howard County’s Moderate Income Housing Unit (MIHU) program.  MIHU is an inclusionary zoning program that offers new homes at reduced sale prices and rents.

Howard County Executive Ken Ulman stated,

“We are extremely excited to see that the goals of our MIHU program are being realized. This program makes homeownership possible for moderate income families who want to take advantage of all that our County has to offer its residents, from our highly-rated school system to our family-friendly parks and recreation centers, it’s a great time to ‘Come Home to Howard County’.”

A free “MIHU Buyers and Renters Workshop” will be held on July 13th at 6pm at the Gateway Building in Columbia.  The workshop will provide an overview of the program, eligibility requirements, and application process.  For additional information and to register call Howard County Housing’s MIHU Coordinator (410)313-6497.
