Baltimore City Launches Zipcar Program

The City of Baltimore and the City’s Parking Authority have partnered with Zipcar, Inc. to launch a car sharing program, offering convenient and environmentally friendly transportation to residents.  A total of 22 Zipcars will be located throughout the City beginning this month.  Cars can be reserved online with rates beginning  at $7 an hour or $66 for a full day.   Mayor Stephanie Rawlings Blake stated,

“With Zipcar and car sharing, we are able to address two key priorities at once,” said Baltimore Mayor Stephanie Rawlings-Blake. “We offer our citizens a new way to save money without sacrificing mobility, and address the challenges of reducing congestion, parking demand, and carbon emissions. Car sharing is a smart policy choice that benefits everyone involved.”
