Webinar on EPA Bay Restoration Recommendations

A webinar for Local Governments officials will be held next week to discuss EPA’s draft recommendations in response to President’s Obama’s Executive Order on restoring and protecting the Chesapeake Bay. Chuck Fox, EPA’s Senior Policy Advisor for the Chesapeake Bay, will conduct the briefing and solicit your feedback. He will also describe the path forward to finalizing the federal government strategy for cleaning up the Bay. In an effort to expand our outreach efforts and with current budget and travel constraints in place, we are happy to offer you this technological opportunity to participate.

On May 12,2009 President Obama signed Executive Order 13508 on Chesapeake Bay Protection and Restoration. September 9, 2009 reports delivered to Federal Leadership Committee: executiveorder.chesapeakebay.net/ November 10, 2009 draft report published for final review and public comment. May 2010 Final Strategy report released.
