Council Member Allison Pickard won the Democratic primary in the race to be the next Anne Arundel County Executive.

The Anne Arundel County Executive primary race was only contested by the Democratic Party. In the 4-person race for the Democratic nomination Allison Pickard, beating out James Kitchin, Kyle Nembhard, and Pete Smith. Dave Crawford ran unopposed and won the Republican primary nomination. Allison Pickard and Dave Crawford will face off in November.

Incumbent Stuart Pitman was term limited and was prevented from running for reelection.
