MACo’s 2026 Summer Conference, “Build What’s Next,” will be held on August 12-15 in Ocean City, MD. The preliminary list of hotel blocks is here – book your room before they sell out!
MACo’s Summer Conference brings together approximately 3,000 leaders from all levels of government and the private sector. With four days of educational sessions, along with 2 exhibit shows (over 350 vendors!), and numerous briefings, meetings, and opportunities to connect with counties, this conference is a can’t-miss event for anyone involved in Maryland’s local government interests.
SCAM ALERT: MACo does not work with third-party organizations or housing bureaus to provide hotel blocks for our conferences. MACo staff negotiates discounted blocks directly with the hotels. If you are contacted by someone who claims to be MACo’s representative for hotel blocks or who is promoting special rates for sold out hotels, PLEASE DO NOT ENGAGE WITH THEM. Those organizations are not affiliated with MACo and are running a scam.
MACo books rooms across Ocean City to provide our participants with a range of accommodations at discounted and reserved pricing. View the official MACo hotel list.
Please note:
- Blocks are limited and may fill up before the stated expiration date – book soon!
- Some hotels are charging daily parking and resort fees, which are noted on our list.
- The Ocean City local accommodations tax went up 1% for 2026 – the total of state tax is 12% (6% state, 6% local); contact your hotel of choice to provide tax-exempt certificate details, if applicable (required in advance of arrival).
- Each hotel has different rules for check-in/out times and cancellation fees – for group blocks, the cancellation deadline could be a week or 10 days before arrival. Please read the booking policies carefully when making your reservation.
