The Montgomery County Department of Environmental Protection (DEP) announced that registration is open for the 13th annual Montgomery County
Energy Summit.
The 2026 summit will be held Tuesday and Wednesday, April 28-29, at the Silver Spring Civic Building located at Veterans Plaza. Early-bird registration rates are available through Tuesday, Jan. 27. The summit’s theme, “Elevating Building Performance,” highlights tools, strategies, and real-world guidance to boost building efficiency and navigate building energy performance standards.
“Every day, Montgomery County government and the private sector work together to meet building performance standards to cut energy use and reduce emissions,” said County Executive Marc Elrich. “The Energy Summit brings together experts, tools, and real solutions to help building owners reach their energy goals. I encourage businesses and professionals across the County to join us in building a cleaner, more resilient future.”
The two-day event will feature:
- Educational sessions led by industry experts.
- Interactive technology showcases in Innovation Alley.
- New interactive elements, including hands-on learning activities and gamified sessions designed to make building performance topics more accessible and engaging.
- On-site support to help organizations understand compliance needs.
- Opportunities to connect with regional leaders and peers.
- Practical guidance for meeting performance standards.
