The annual festival is celebrating its 60th anniversary, and organizers are marking the milestone in a big way—with a 60-foot-tall rubber duck. First held in 1966, the Maryland Seafood Festival is expecting its biggest turnout yet, featuring a wide variety of Maryland seafood vendors, beer, and live music.

One of the festival’s headline attractions will be the massive rubber duck, known as Mama Duck. Weighing approximately 8,000 pounds, Mama Duck takes about 90 minutes to inflate or deflate and is sure to be a crowd favorite.

This won’t be Mama Duck’s first visit to Maryland. She previously appeared in Crisfield and Leonardtown in 2023, and returned to Crisfield in 2025. Organizers say this upcoming appearance is expected to be the largest and most exciting yet.
