MACo’s Winter Conference just wrapped, and the 2026 General Assembly Session is starting soon, but don’t forget to mark your calendars for MACo’s Summer Conference, “Build What’s Next,” on August 12-15, 2026, in Ocean City, Maryland.
MACo’s Summer Conference brings together approximately 3,000 leaders from all levels of government and the private sector. With four days of educational sessions, along with 2 exhibit shows (over 350 vendors!), and numerous briefings, meetings, and opportunities to connect with counties, this conference is a can’t-miss event for anyone involved in Maryland’s local government interests.
As Maryland’s counties work to meet rising community needs and prepare for long-term growth, the imperative to strengthen infrastructure, deepen partnerships, and support vulnerable residents has never been clearer. Build What’s Next will examine the emerging challenges and opportunities shaping local governments and highlight forward-thinking strategies that position county governments – and their residents – for lasting success. Conference sessions will explore modern infrastructure investment, state-local collaboration, tech and AI influence on public services, and innovative tools that expand housing options, enhance public infrastructure and energy delivery, effectively fund education priorities, and ensure every community has access to essential resources and services.
Save the date! More details will be released soon, so stay tuned to Conduit Street for announcements on the Call for Proposals, exhibits, sponsorships, registration, and hotels.
