MDOT Opens $3.75M Grant Round for Transit-Oriented Development

The Maryland Department of Transportation (MDOT) is now accepting applications for the second round of its Transit-Oriented Development (TOD) Capital Grant and Revolving Loan Fund.

A total of $3.75 million in funding is available to local jurisdictions and their development partners to advance projects at State-designated station areas.

 

Applications are open through November 7, 2025.

Program Overview

The TOD Fund provides financial assistance to support equitable and inclusive development around Maryland’s transit hubs, helping local governments and private partners enhance access to public transportation, spur economic growth, and create vibrant, connected communities.

MDOT will host two informational webinars for interested applicants:

  • Tuesday, October 14, 2025 | 9:00 – 10:00 a.m.

  • Monday, October 20, 2025 | 12:00 – 1:00 p.m.

These sessions will cover application requirements, eligibility, and evaluation criteria, with opportunities for Q&A.
