MACo’s Winter Conference is scheduled for December 10-12, 2025, at the Hyatt Regency Chesapeake Bay Hotel in Cambridge, MD. The theme is “Local Leadership, Lasting Impact: Shaping What’s Next.” County governments are on the front lines of delivering essential services during a time of rapid change and rising expectations. As Maryland officials confront complex fiscal pressures, workforce shortages, shifting mandates, and emerging technologies, the role of strong local leadership has never been more critical. This conference will explore how counties can take proactive steps to shape what’s next — leveraging innovation, collaboration, and strategic investment to build lasting impact for their communities. Through thoughtful planning and decisive local action, counties can lead the way toward a more resilient, equitable, and responsive future for all Marylanders.
