Wicomico County Executive Julie Giordano has announced the confirmation of appointments to the newly established Wicomico County Planning and Zoning Commission.

The newly established Commission aims to strengthen community development, land use planning, and long-term growth management in the county.

The Wicomico County Council confirmed the following appointments:

• Charles R. Dashiell, Jr.
• Daniel Morena-Holt
• Minister George Mandel Copeland
• Tanesha Siggers
• Mary T. Denton
• James R. Thomas, Jr., P.E., F.A.C.E.C.
• Sara Bynum-King

Additionally, Charles R. Dashiell, Jr. has been appointed to serve as Chair of the Commission. Mr. Dashiell’s extensive background in law and public service will provide steady leadership as the Commission undertakes its vital role in shaping Wicomico County’s future.

County Executive Giordano emphasized the importance of these appointments, stating:

“This Planning and Zoning Commission will play a critical role in balancing responsible growth with the preservation of our community character and quality of life.
