Chesapeake Bay Program Seeks Feedback on Future Agreement

The Chesapeake Bay Program is seeking public feedback on the proposed future Chesapeake Bay Watershed Agreement.

The Chesapeake Bay Watershed Agreement, signed in 2014, set many of its goals and outcomes to be achieved by December 2025. With that deadline approaching, the Chesapeake Bay Program (CBP) is working to assess progress, determine next steps, and shape the future of Bay restoration. As part of this process, CBP will host a series of virtual meetings and gather public input through September 1.

Interested parties and members of the public are invited to provide feedback on the draft revised Chesapeake Bay Watershed Agreement between July 1 and September 1, 2025, by emailing comments@chesapeakebay.netFeedback received during this period will be reviewed by a team of subject matter experts within the partnership. The next version of the Watershed Agreement will be presented to the Management Board in October 2025.
