Wicomico County upgrades to end-to-end e-procurement and contract management software, powered by MACo Silver Corporate Partner OpenGov
With the new software, the County can operate more efficiently and adapt to changing vendor and policy needs while strengthening public trust by
leveraging automated, collaborative, and transparency tools within the software. The National Procurement Institute recently certified the software with an AEP certification for meeting the capabilities required to run a modern procurement program specific to supplier engagement and evaluations.
“We’d grown accustomed to our paper-based processes and manual workflow, but I’m excited about the level of automation built into the OpenGov Procurement platform,” said Amy Kernodle, Purchasing Agent for Wicomico County. “We’re going to be able to save so much time, which means that we’re able to invest that back into our community, and making it the best place to live, work, and do business.”
“We are thrilled to partner with Wicomico County to launch its e-procurement platform,” said Nav Kalra, VP of Professional Services at OpenGov. “The OpenGov portal makes it easy for any supplier to view and bid on a project, and for the County’s team to operate more efficiently. Our mission is to power more effective and accountable government, and working with public servants like those in Wicomico County inspires us at OpenGov to continue investing in our platform and communities.”
Wicomico County joins more than 1,900 public sector organizations leveraging OpenGov to revolutionize work processes with cloud-based software designed specifically for government needs. See the full press release for more details
