Maryland Certifies Presidential Election Results

Today, the Maryland Board of State Canvassers officially certified the results of last month’s Presidential General Election.

More than 3 million Marylanders participated in the election, showcasing robust voter engagement across the state. This strong turnout reflects the availability of multiple voting options, including early voting, mail-in ballots, and in-person voting on Election Day.

The Board, composed of the Secretary of State, the Comptroller, the State Treasurer, the Clerk of the Court of Appeals, and the Attorney General, convened to review vote tabulation reports from local boards of canvassers. After thorough evaluation, the members signed the declaration of results, finalizing the outcomes of federal, state, and local races.

Counties are central in Maryland’s elections, funding and managing operations locally. They oversee polling places, coordinate poll workers, and ensure smooth, accurate election processes. Their work, in partnership with State officials, supports an election system that is accessible and reliable for all Maryland voters.
