Montgomery Council Member Glass Joins National Board of Democratic County Officials

Montgomery County Councilmember Evan Glass has been appointed to the Board of Directors for the National Democratic County Officials (NDCO), joining 30 other officials nationwide. In his new role, Council Member Glass will help guide the organization’s efforts to support county-level officials and strengthen local governance.

“I am proud to join the NDCO board and collaborate with leaders from Maryland and beyond to strengthen Democratic representation in local governments,” said Council Member Glass. “County leaders play a critical role in shaping our communities by investing in education, infrastructure, environmental protections, and ensuring secure elections.”

The NDCO serves over 3,000 counties nationwide, representing elected officials from rural, urban, and suburban areas. The organization offers training and campaign support for first-time candidates and incumbents, aiming to enhance the success of Democrats running for county office across the United States.

“We are thrilled to welcome Evan Glass to our Board of Directors,” said NDCO Chair Dave Woodward, who also chairs the Oakland County Board of Commissioners. “Evan’s experience as both a progressive policy advocate and a proven electoral strategist will be a valuable asset as we work to empower county leaders and deliver results for communities across America.”
