The Youth@Work Internship Program with the Prince George’s County government offers young adults the opportunity to hit the ground running with a career in public service.
According to an announcement from the Prince George’s County government, recently graduated high school and college students can apply for temporary and permanent opportunities with a number of local agencies and divisions with the county. The internship affords students a chance to enter the workforce quickly, with no specific government experience, and end up on a track to full-time employment in public service.

The program is making a concerted effort to expose young adults to programs they might know little about at the onset but ultimately really enjoy. The intent is to keep local talent local and engaged in the workforce.
