All Your Winter #MACoCon Questions, Answered

MACo’s Winter Conference is coming up on December 11-13, 2024, at the Hyatt Regency Chesapeake Bay Hotel in Cambridge, MD. Anticipation for the event is high, so see our FAQs below for more details.

About 1200 participants will gather for MACo’s Winter Conference, “Anticipate, Adapt, Achieve: Thriving Through Turbulent Times.” Sessions will explore how counties can leverage changing times, shifting budgets, and evolving technologies to achieve fiscally responsible and effective results for the people of Maryland.

Save the date, and review our answers to frequently asked questions below:

Q: When will registration open?
A: Registration will open mid-October. It will open first to County Elected Officials and county staff, then MACo’s Corporate Partners, then exhibitors and sponsors, then other government and commercial participants.

Q: How do I book a hotel room?
A: Hotel rooms at the Hyatt are limited, so we have made them part of the registration process this year. Guests will not be able to book a room at the Hyatt until they are registered for the conference. There will be an additional block of rooms at the Holiday Inn in Cambridge (about a mile from the Hyatt – MACo will provide a shuttle between these 2 hotels) and the Holiday Inn in Easton. MACo also recommends using VRBO and Airbnb.

Q: What are the registration and hotel rates?
A: Please see our rate listing sheet. We suggest using the registration rates form to secure any approvals needed so that your organization is ready to roll when registration opens. Hotel rooms at the Hyatt will sell out extremely quickly.

Q: How much will an exhibit booth cost?
A: It depends on the location, but our booth fees will be the following: $1700, $1500, $1300, $1050, $850. View more details on exhibits.

Q: When will sponsorship details be released?
A: Very soon! 2023 sponsors are given the first opportunity to renew their sponsorship or pick a new one, then remaining sponsorships will be opened to the public. Contact Regina at reginabz@mdcounties.org to be added to our list of interested sponsors.

Q: How do I become a speaker or submit a topic for consideration?
A: Please see our Call for Proposals. Deadline is Sept 13, so submit your proposal soon!

Q: How can I be sure to receive all MACo Winter Conference updates?
A: Subscribe to conference updates using our easy form.
