Prince George’s Commits Over $4.2M to Health Assures Program

Prince George’s County has announced the allocation of $4.250Medical professional taking the blood pressure of a patient million to expand the Health Assures Program, a vital initiative to relieve the burden of uncompensated care for uninsured patient visits at Federally Qualified Health Centers (FQHCs).

The Health Assures Program is dedicated to ensuring that low-cost or free medical, behavioral, and dental care services are accessible to eligible uninsured individuals residing in the county.

“The Health Assures Program exemplifies our unwavering commitment to improving the health and well-being of Prince George’s County residents,” said County Executive Angela Alsobrooks. “By providing essential health services to those who are uninsured and often undocumented, we are creating a community where every resident has the opportunity to achieve optimal health.”

Eligible individuals for the Health Assures Program include those who are uninsured, ineligible for insurance or other government assistance programs, and living at or below 200% of the Federal Poverty Level.
