Academy for Excellence Grads: Register Today for the Fiscal Resiliency Course

The Academy for Excellence in Local Governance is offering a Graduate course on fiscal resiliency for local governments.

The Academy for Excellence in Local Governance is a voluntary certificate program for county and municipal officials and features foundational and deep-dive courses centering on governance best practices. The Academy Graduate program is a professional development program for those who have completed the Academy Fellow certificate.

Title: Fiscal Resiliency for Municipalities and Counties in Maryland

Description: The 3.5 hour class will take place on Friday, May 17, from 9:00 a.m. – 12:30 p.m. at the Local Government Insurance Trust headquarters in Hanover, MD. Led by School of Public Policy Assistant Professor Luke Spreen, this course will explore the quantification and evaluation of fiscal resilience as well as strategies for managing fiscal challenges. A light breakfast and boxed lunch will be included as well as all materials and a certificate of completion. This course is ONLY open to GRADUATES of the Academy program – Fellows working toward completing their certificates are not eligible to participate.
