The Maryland Department of Housing and Community Development (DHCD) is holding public hearings to develop its Fiscal Year 2025 Annual Plan in
accordance with the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) guidelines.
The plan, part of the State’s Consolidated Plan (ConPlan), focuses on housing, community development, and economic activities, emphasizing assisting low to moderate-income individuals. The ConPlan also serves as the State’s application for various HUD grants, including Community Development Block Grants (CDBG) and the Housing Trust Fund (HTF), benefiting counties like Anne Arundel, Baltimore, Harford, Howard, Montgomery, and Prince George’s, among others.
The plan aligns with Maryland’s commitment to prioritize community revitalization, affordable housing, homeownership, and reducing homelessness. Public input is crucial, and DHCD is seeking project suggestions that align with the ConPlan’s goals.
