Carrington & Associates, LLC, Managing Director, Darrell Carrington, Founding Board Member and Executive Director of the Maryland Cannabis Industry Association (MDCIA) is pleased to announce the 1st Annual MD Cannabis Reform Summit: A Sober Conversation About Legal Weed. This follows the successful educational and outreach events from 2015-2017 that helped many current licensees gain the insights needed to win licenses in arguably the most competitive marketplace in the country.

“My phone has been ringing off the hook since last November” said Mr. Carrington. “With 67% of Marylanders voting to legalize cannabis, the state has a mandate to ensure adults 21 and over can legally purchase cannabis on July 1st. Now, the only question becomes, will Maryland allow the black market to take hold as it did in New York, or will we ensure that all counties are full participants in the marketplace?”

1st Annual MD Cannabis Reform Summit: A Sober Conversation About Legal Weed

Date/Time: Saturday, March 25 8:30-4pm

Location: Bowie State University, James E. Proctor Building, Rm 121 (14000 Jericho Road, Bowie, MD 20720)

67% of Marylanders spoke with a loud voice to the General Assembly, in the words of the legendary Peter Tosh, “LEGALIZE IT!” Now that the people have spoken, our state elected officials and agency heads are working to ensure that adults 21 and over, can legally purchase cannabis at a licensed dispensary in Maryland on July 1st of this year. The Summit will bring together the architects of the bills working their way through Annapolis that will set the framework for a dual medical, and adult-use cannabis industry. The bills are very complex with lots of moving parts. Come hear from the people who wrote the bills, and those that will be tasked with its implementation. This is a must-attend Summit, but seating is very limited due space considerations. View Agenda and more details.
