The Prince George’s Office of Community Relations hosts a community conversation for residents to learn more about the new Dyer Care Center for Crisis Stabilization.
In an effort to connect residents with valuable life-saving resources, Prince George’s is hosting an in-person community conversation regarding the Dyer Behavioral Health Center that is coming soon to the Dyer community.
The opening of the Dyer Care Center will meet another major benchmark in the transformation of Prince George’s from what has been termed a mental health desert. Earlier this year, the county celebrated the opening of MedStar Southern Maryland Hospital Center. These resources signal an opportunity for Prince George’s to provide mental health services to communities without the need to seek services outside of the county.
Officials have planned for an open and honest conversation with the residents in the Dyer community.
Attendees will hear from county officials on:
- an overview of the benefits of the center
- services to help the community
- timeline of the expected opening
The event will take place on December 22nd from 6:30-8pm at The Tree of Life in Clinton, MD.
