Attend the “Shop Maryland Energy” Virtual Roundtable

Shop Maryland Energy Weekend is right around the corner (Feb 13-15) and Comptroller Peter Franchot’s office has several online events lined up to engage with businesses and advocates and promote energy appliance sales in Maryland.

Before the sales-boosting activities of the annual Shop Maryland Energy Weekend, Comptroller Franchot is holding a virtual roundtable to engage with retailers, utility suppliers, and other smart energy/conservation advocates on Monday, February 1, at 10:00 am. Participants will be encouraged to ask questions, share their business’ story or offer ideas on how the State may be able to help.

From the Comptroller’s Office:

The COVID-19 pandemic has impacted every aspect of life and that’s certainly no different for your sector. In lieu of the usual visits to appliance retailers ahead of the annual Shop Maryland Energy Weekend (from Feb. 13-15), this year, we are holding a virtual roundtable discussion for the Comptroller to engage with retailers, utility suppliers and smart energy/conservation advocates. The Comptroller will also share some of the steps our office has already taken to assist business and individual taxpayers.

Additionally, to promote Shop MD Energy Weekend, the Comptroller’s Office will host a virtual news conference on Thursday, February 4th at 1: 00 pm. It will be streamed live on the Comptroller of Maryland Facebook page and on YouTube
